Greetings to all,

Last night the Cyprus Alumni had a constructive meeting with Mr. Benon Sevan after which
we all attended the Melkonian Bros. rememberance day at the school, an emotional event in view of the sad developments.
Following a thorough discussion of all the aspects regarding the present situation, for which
Mr. Sevan could not offer any fresh proposals from official AGBU, it was mutually decided that Benon Sevan will attempt to offer his good services for another attempt to convince the AGBU CB to listen to the Alumni arguments as regards the future of the school.

In the meantime, the Cyprus Alumni will press ahead with its own agenda, which among others includes the holding of an Extraordinary General Meeting of all Alumni on February 7, where the Committee will table the proposal for the formation of a new association, properly registered with the government, and ask member approval for its next course of action.

As you well know, one of the key topics will be discussion and approval of a proposal to commence legal proceedings against AGBU CB. For this reason, I would appreciate if all the Alumni hold their separate meetings, at local level, to also discuss the matter, and relay your decisions to us before the Feb 7 meeting, where we may inform our rank-and-file members.

cheers
Shavasb Bohdjalian
