Dear Melkoniantsis, It is with great pride and deep gratitude that I remember the years spent at Melkonian. During my four years of study at MEI, I faced many challenging situations, that required will power and determination to make the correct decision, that may be decisive for the future. Melkonian prepared me in order to identify the challenges of life and withstand them firmly and courageously. Through my experiences in Melkonian I shaped my character and principles. All my mistakes and negligence in MEI gave me useful and valuable lessons, and after graduating I felt confident and ready to face the unknown obstacles of life. Now, that I am surrounded by foreigners, I have realised that Melkonian’s importance was not solely the provision of higher education, but also the advantageous quality and might in strengthening the Armenian identity inside me. And now I miss the school and its very friendly atmosphere, which occupies a very special place in my heart. Dear students, I heard of your demonstrations against the school’s closure. As an alumnus, I am categorically against the AGBU’s decision to close down the school and I fully support your every step. Love your school, because once you leave Melkonian, you will gradually understand its real meaning and feel its impact on your personalities. I believe that together, united, we can save our school. Hayk Yeganian, alumnus of 2002 (Armenia)
