As the NY branch grew powerful it became the HQ of all AGBU branches.  After Emperor Alec’s death the Empire became the private property of his little daughter. She joined the Dark Side, and so did Bergie - a young aspiring apprentice in the ways of Spin. Weakness and obsessive love for the "Good" are the nests of Evil. And thus, Darth Simone and Darth Bergie hijacked the AGBU and its Central Board.

A little planet Melkonian is problematic for the Empire as it educates young Armenian Jedies – “Melkoniantsis”.  And so the destruction of Melkonian is a high priority on the Evil Empire’s list.

A small group of Melkoniantsi Jedi Rebels based at SaveMelkonian.org ignited the Resistance. The MELKONIANTSI INTERNATIONAL – the confederation of Independent Alumni Associations is now appealing to all of the Armenian Cosmos.

By the way, have you head about the curse.  Its a bedtime ghost story in the style of Egyptian myths.  Apparently there is a curse that anybody who intentionally harms Melkonian soon faces a number of heavy misfortunes and diseases.
